Message from the Assistant Principal

WELCOME

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

This is my 16th year at Thomas Jefferson as a teacher and coach, but my first as a Vice Principal.

I am making the education and safety of your child my top priorities. As the Vice Principal of Thomas Jefferson, I look forward to working with you all in an effort to see students succeed at Thomas Jefferson socially, emotionally, and academically.

The middle school years are perhaps the most difficult and the most critical for our students. What happens during these years had a lasting impact on my growth and development; academically, socially, and behaviorally. As Vice Principal, my goal is to provide a school environment that is safe, welcoming, considerate, and respectful. By providing this type of school environment, students will be able to grow as students, citizens, and young adults, and we will fulfill our mission of providing “Academic Excellence for All”.

To achieve this goal, myself, students, and staff are expected to demonstrate character traits that “Respect the P.A.W.!”

P - Persevere: The act of continuing to do something in spite of difficulties.

A - Attitude: A manner of acting, feeling, or thinking in a positive way that accepts difficulties as opportunities.

W - Wise Choices: Doing the things you’re expected to do to be successful and owning your mistakes.

If there is anything we can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Additionally, you are always welcome to schedule an appointment by calling the office at (661) 758-7140 to discuss your concerns. Also, be sure to sign up for the Parent Square App to keep up with news and updates.

Stay safe and “Respect the PAW!”

Respectfully,

Tim Arnold
